City Tech, CUNY in Downtown Brooklyn invites applications for a tenure-track position teaching Advertising: Copywriting and Conceptual Art Direction in the Communication Design Department at the Assistant Professor level, to begin during the Fall 2018 academic semester. The communication design program currently offers courses in: Advertising Design; Animation/Illustration; Graphic Design; Web Design; and Motion Graphics.

The Assistant Professor will teach basic, intermediate and advanced advertising copywriting and/or art direction concept courses. Teaching assignments may include day, evening and Saturday courses. Service will include participation in department advisement, curriculum development, student activities and college-wide committees. The Assistant Professor will be expected to pursue creative, scholarly and professional activities at a level appropriate to the communication design profession.
