The School of Art + Art History at the University of Florida, College of the Arts invites applications for a tenure-accruing graphic design faculty position at the level of Assistant or early Associate Professor.


This position will contribute to the growth of our vibrant graduate and undergraduate programs in design. We seek forward-looking and visionary educators with the skills to advance our design program through research, teaching, and service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a conceptual, scholarly approach to design practice and research; an understanding of contemporary design issues, methods, and technologies; and engage questions of culture, community, pluriversality, interculturality, and anti-racism. We welcome applicants who can contribute to a diverse and inclusive environment through their scholarship, teaching, mentoring, and professional service. In addition, the successful candidate can expect to work with students, faculty, staff, and communities from a wide range of disciplines, and social and cultural backgrounds.
